Puducherry (PTI): In a unique painting competition held in a running train, around 730 school children and senior citizens exhibited their art skills.
The centenary of visit of Tamil revolutionary poet Subramania Bharathi to Puducherry during the British Raj and also some of the contents of the poet`s lyrics formed part of the themes for the competition, organised by the Pondicherry Art Society.
The train was run between Puducherry and Villupuram, a distance of about 40 km.
Society President Ibert said, the prizes would be distributed to the proficient artists next month.
